Th Jefferson returns his thanks to Doctr. Wallace for the Indian pipe he has been so kind as to send him, & which he recieved in safety. it is a handsome specimen of the Indian arts: and the stone of which it is made is also singular. he tenders him his salutations and assurances of esteem & respect.
