19 October 1804, Kingston, Jamaica. Last wrote on 27 July.1 “This accompanies my Account with vouchers up to 1 Instant Amount 53.12.. ⟨J⟩ Currency [not found], also a further list of Seamen onboard the Men of War on this Station who represent thems[e]lves to be Americans.2 I shall esteem it a very particular favor if you will intimate the State of my Account so long pending.”3

2. Savage probably enclosed the 19 Oct. 1804 list of seventy-two men on British ships at Jamaica for whose release he had applied, together with comments regarding most of the cases and the names of the British ships on which the men were serving, a copy of which was enclosed in JM to Nathaniel Macon, 19 Jan. 1805 (DNA: RG 233, Reports and Communications from the Secretary of State, 8A–E1).
