In addition to the amount of $33,159 in his original account, O’Brien listed $600 for “hire of the Pink O’Brien sent in January 1799, with Dispatches from Algiers to Spain,” which was originally rejected by Harrison but admitted when JM approved the charge (DNA: RG 217, First Auditor’s Accounts, nos. 18,142 and 18,159).
