From Cowles Mead, 6 September 1806 (Abstract)
§ From Cowles Mead. 6 September 1806, Washington, Mississippi Territory. “This informs you of the faithful completion of Mr. Marschalk’s contract relative to the publication of the laws of the last Session of the Congress of the U. States—altho he has transmitted all the papers containing them to your office, he fears that some one or more may have miscarried, which accident might induce a suspicion of his noncompliance, I preserved a file of the whole laws & by comparison find them all correct.”
