§ From Robert Brent

9 February 1810, Washington. Recommends two lieutenants for appointment as military district or regimental paymasters, in accordance with the peace establishment act of 1802. Has consulted secretary of war concerning the vacancies and asks JM “to signify your assent at the foot of this letter” if he approves the nominations.
