Df, in Robert Hanson Harrison’s writing, DLC:GW; Varick transcript, DLC:GW.

1The enclosures probably included a copy of the “State of Facts relative to the claims of Brigadiers General Mulenburgh Weedon Woodford & Scott,” which is filed with undated February letters in DLC:GW. As Robert Hanson Harrison’s note on the document indicates, that statement is similar in substance to the “State of the Case of Brigr Genls Mulenbergh Weedon Woodford and Scott with their Claim of Rank” provided by the congressional camp committee on 2 Mar. (see GW to a Continental Congress Camp Committee, 1 Mar., n.1.) Other possible enclosures may have included the lists of resolutions about rank that are filed in DLC:GW at the end of December 1777. For a discussion of those and of the dispute in general, see GW to Henry Laurens, 1 Jan. 1778, n.8.
