To Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Walton White

[West Point] 31st July—1779.

General Washington presents his compliments to Colo. White and thanks him for the Bridle, Stirrups & Spurs which he obligingly presented him with. The workmanship does great credit to the artisan. and is a demonstrable proof of the perfection to which this manufactory is brought.
