Letter not found: from Nathaniel Gilman, c.27 Sept. 1790. On 6 Oct. 1790 Alexander Hamilton wrote to the president that he received a 27 Sept. 1790 letter from Nathaniel Gilman “informing me, that he has transmitted his commission to you, with a resignation of his Office” of New Hampshire loans commissioner, to which GW had appointed him on 6 Aug. 1790.
